Oilseed

Oilseed processing involves the preparation and extraction of oil-bearing seeds yielding meal and vegetable oil. Meals are typically used in animal feeds while oils are processed into edible oils, soaps, biodiesel and many other products. Oil-bearing seeds include soybean, rapeseed, sunflower, peanut and many more.

Animal Feed

Animal feed processing involves the preparation, mixing, dosing and conditioning of various ingredients for the production of formulated, pelleted feeds. Industry participants process these ingredients into food for poultry, hogs, and other livestock. Poultry and hogs account for the majority of feed requirements around the world.

Bioenergy

Bioenergy processing is the conversion of organic matter derived from plants, trees, and other biological materials into liquid or solid fuel energy. Biomass pellets are solid fuels made by compressing biomass streams from a variety of industries, including forestry, agriculture, industry, and waste, into a combustible fuel source. Biofuels are liquid fuels made by the conversion of sugars or oils and fats into a combustible fuel source most commonly ethanol or biodiesel.

Food

Food processing involves the preparation and treatment of various ingredients for production of human food. Processing is wide and varied but almost always involves particle preparation, mixing, agglomeration, thermal processing, forming and cooling. The end result includes products that are extruded, baked, roasted, cooked or dried for use in a mass production environment such as ready-to-eat foods, snacks, nuts, or other ingredients.

Compounding

Compounding involves the creation of specific plastic formulations through phased mixing, blending, pumping and conditioning of various polymers, filler and additives to achieve material qualities for density, strength, resistance, colorfastness and others. Compounding produces bespoke pellets for further downstream conversion into other inputs and end-products.

Consumer

Consumer processing is a broad market to describe materials processing which involves the conversion of various inputs to support value-added, or value-enhancing products. Products include such things as metal packaging, fiber, mineral processing, specialty oils and an array of commodity-like materials as industrial consumables or consumer products.
